The festival was fun, but next year when Ricky is bigger it will be even more fun. He couldn't really do any of the moonbounces without getting trampled. Walking around the hillside was fun, but it wasn't really fun for Mom and Dad to chase him all over the hillside. He did manage to sneak in a few bites of funnel cake. I tried to get him to check out the animals at the petting zoo and while they seemed interesting from afar, once we got close, he could have cared less. Oh, and in case you're wondering, that pic right there. That is what a mouth full of funnel cake looks like.
After DooDah, we headed over to Casa Redden to hang out for a few. They have a nice, big front porch and a water table. I put some swimtrunks on Ricky and let him have at it. He just puttered around in the water and played with all the toys and had a great time. He had an afternoon snack of sidewalk chalk and doesn't seem to be experiencing any nasty side effects today. I suppose I should get used to that - him eating everything in sight, right? They did a little grillin', we had some dinner, Ricky took a nice nap. A great visit.
Overall, a pretty darn great day. Need proof? I think the expression on Ricky's face says it all.
And this, well this just might be my new favorite pic. What a beautiful family I have!
