Back on the Wagon

I'm back on Jenny Craig. Not that you know that I was on it before. I had to stop when I got pregnant, Jenny doesn't touch you when you are pregnant. I am back at work, we are in a decent routine so if I don't start now, well.....I'll never start.

I want to lose some weight, I need to lose some weight. Ok, not just some weight, alot of weight. I am sure that once Ricky is mobile and walking I will be running around nonstop but until then, I need to get things kickstarted.

So, back on the Jenny wagon I go. Several people have asked why I don't do Weight Watchers. Two reasons. I need to be accountable. I have a weekly weigh in with my Jenny consultant. You have this with WW too, but my lifetime membership with Jenny ultimately cost less than 6-ish months on WW. Having to answer to someone other than myself plays a big part in this for me. Number 2, I WILL cheat if given the opportunity. I need a structured menu, I need to know exactly what I am having for my next meal. It isn't so much my diet (although I do love me some french fries!), it is the mindless eating that I do. Specifically the late night mindless eating. Yeah, you have to buy the Jenny food, at least you should at first until you have a better handle on your portions and choices. Yeah, it's expensive but I guesstimate that I am spending about the same as I was before. I like to cook but I don't do it very often. And their food....not bad. Not bad at all. Besides I get to supplement with fresh fruit and vegetables like crazy.

I am also working on kicking up the activity level, wearing a pedometer every day and slowly increasing my goal for total steps per day. I have a WiiFit that I haven't even opened as the living room was baby central. Well, Ricky's playroom is almost done so I'm out of excuses.

I will say one thing.....it is alot harder this time around. I don't know why but last year it was just easier. I dunno why but it was.

So - wish me luck! I'm a little chicken to post a weight loss ticker right now but maybe in a few weeks when things are really rolling.

Good luck! You can do it! Everyone knows what works for them...my hubby and I did weight watchers and held each other accountable. :)
