Update and stuff....

I have been on bedrest since Wednesday afternoon and I am bored out of my mind. I know, I know....enjoy the peace and quiet while I can is what everyone is telling me. I just did my nails. What next? I suppose I could be reading all sort of baby things but honestly, I'm pretty tired of it.

Something new did happen today....I was watching A Baby Story on TLC. I only watch the normal shows, not that Special Delivery stuff that will scare the crap out of me. Anyway, the couple told their story, yada yada, had their baby, yada yada, and I totally started crying.

WTF was that about?!?! I was so happy for them that they had their little boy in their arms. So, I watched another episode and it happened again! Man....this kid can't come soon enough. Freakin mommy hormones!

Anywho...My new doc called me back yesterday to let me know that my labs were perfectly normal so no signs of preeclampsia. I have a BP cuff at home and am tracking my BP. It seems that while I am sitting bed, it goes down. But god forbid I get up and move around. This just reiterates the importance of bedrest, limited trips up and down the stairs, etc. The challenge I am working on now is since I am laying around all day long, when Pookie comes home and needs his sleep, I am wide awake. That isn't cool. I got up around 5am last night and went down to sleep in my recliner. I was wide awake at 5am and needed to do or watch something to unwind and get back to sleep. A single episode of Friends normally does the job.

Now, back to work on my "Honey Do" list for Pookie. There aren't any really big things that need to be done, just a bunch of little things. I know he'll be so excited to see it. I know I have probably been doing too much but I have been trying to be careful to not do anything over the top so we will see what Doc says when I see her on Tuesday.

Also, have I mentioned how hard it is to roll over from my left to my right side and get out of bed when I have extreme carpal tunnel issues in my left hand? THAT totally sucks!

I keep meaning to pop in and tell you my 2 FAVORITE things I did on bedrest. I have no clue if they will even interest you but it can't hurt to share, right?

1. I wrote a letter to my babies. It took me forever but I ended up printing it out and it's now in their baby books. I will treasure it forever.

2. I would rent/buy entire seasons of popular TV shows. I became addicted to several and was able to spend a day watching an entire season.
Some of my favorites were: The Sheild, Nip/Tuck, Desperate Housewives, LOST, 24, The Wire and Grey's Anatomy.

Hang in there!
