Missing Daddy.

Daddy left today.  Needless to say, there was a little boy that was very sad about this.  Rick picked him up to give him a hug Goodbye and when I went to take Ricky from Daddy, he just pushed me away and said "Noooo."

He clearly did not want Daddy to leave.  He was upset for a few but then I pulled out the Play Doh and all was right with the world once again.

And now the house is quiet.  Even when Ricky is awake, without Rick here, the house is quiet. 

It's weird this time, Rick traveling.  He has to travel sometimes for work and it's no big deal.  Ricky and I can hang just fine on our own.  I am fortunate to have a pretty cool kid.  I say "Let's go to bed" and he grabs the blankie and starts climbing the stairs.  See?  Lucky.

I guess we just miss him more this time around.  Definitely.   

In the meantime, I have dinner plans for Weds & Thurs - anyone wanna meet for some playtime and dinner on Mon or Tues?  I need things to wear out the toddler thus ensuring a good nights sleep.
