Slave to the Blog

For all 2 of my readers out there, I am feeling a bit like a slave to my blog lately. I don't mind posting, I actually like posting, but between Facebook and a Mommy forum I am on, to blog about something means I have told the story not once, not twice, but three times.

It's overkill and it's frustrating. By the time I work all day, pick up Ricky from daycare, get home, sit for maybe 5 minutes, make dinner, eat dinner, clean up dinner and give the kid a bath I am just exhausted. During the whole dinner time scenario, Rick is busy entertaining Ricky. Once Ricky gets a whiff of food he starts whining. And whining. AND whining some more. He could have just eaten 10 minutes ago, if he smells food or sees you popping food in to your mouth, he MUST have some. I love that Rick is so great about spending time with him in the evenings, freeing me up to make dinner and whatever else. Of course some nights, I eat cereal and Ricky eats chicken nuggets - just so we have time to play together. I really like those nights.

On a side note, Ricky doesn't like macaroni & cheese. I must have the only kid in the world that doesn't like mac & cheese. I seriously question his DNA when he spits it out because I love mac & cheese.

Anyway, by the time everything is said and done, I am just plain beat. Not too beat to play Farm Town on Facebook, but that doesn't require as much thought as typing up a blog post.

So that's why things have been slow around here. Well, not around the house, around the blog. Things in the house have been quite busy. Ricky runs non-stop. The other day he was running around the corner and cut the corner a little close. *SMACK!* Right in to the CORNER of the wall he went. He has a big ol' bruise on his forehead.

He has also started pitching hissy fits when he doesn't get his way. Even if you just tell him No or to stop what he is doing, he gets al pouty and whiny. Oh, the faces he can make, they are quite amusing.

Really, it's just day to day living around here. Wake up, get self and kiddo ready, go to work, work, come home, eat, play, sleep, repeat. It's quite boring actually and if you hung around to the end of this even moreso boring blog post, you deserve a drink. Go get one. Now. I insist.
